SUMMON IT UP!: Tom Anderson and Kate Folan have returned home after all the hassle with the werewolves and Kate's deceased mother, Marcie. All is well in school besides with some bitchy classmates and horny friends, and prom is coming up. As well as the basketball game Tom will be taking part in. During the weekend, Kate and Tom are visited by a mysterious vampire claiming that something horrible this way comes. Later, Kate disappears, and Tom finds himself meeting with the same vampire, saying he has a certain person that Tom should meet.
Damion nodded and said, "That could be right, but it's best not to jump to conclusions." He stepped in front of Tom abnormally close, nose-to-nose. "Whatever the reason Kate is gone, she is gone. Her absence will not slow the werewolves down on Wednesday." Damion lifted Tom by his shirt and threw him over his shoulder. Before Tom could even react, they weren't in the park anymore. They were on top of a large metal platform aligned with the ground. He looked to Tom and said with concerned, apprehended eyes, "The leader of Chironine is a werewolf named V. Respect to others and to him is vital in this clan. You mustn't reveal any contempt towards him or anyone else. Disrespect holds severe consequences. Once you join this clan, you are a member for life. But you do not have to live there, although for you it is required for your protection now. But if the ones who are trying to capture you are eliminated, you are allowed to return to your regular life, but remain allies with Chironine. "Once you are in Chironine, you are under V's control. He may do whatever he wants with you. You are his servant. But V is also a servant to you. Whatever he may do to you, Tom, always remember it is for your own good. Everything that V does is for the benefit of his members. All of the members of Chironine are his whole life. He treats everyone the same, even if they are different. V will treat you the same as everyone else, Tom. But he will not force you to join. It is up to you. But this is the best protection that you'll ever receive. It is also required for you to train for battle." Damion's eyes got even more intense, if that was even possible. "Always remember this, Tom... inside the Chironine lair, turning into werewolf form is punishable by death." even more intense, if that was even possible. "Always remember this, Tom... inside the Chironine lair, turning into werewolf form is punishable by death."
The story continues...

Tom back up a bit when Damion got close. "Hey, what's the big ide-- ah!" He yelped as he was hauled over Damion's shoulder like he was a sack of flour. "What is this?!" He shrieked to the skies. "Put me down you infernal asshole!" He spat and thrashed but soon Damion set him down, but they weren't near Tom's home. "Where'd you take me?" Tom gasped, out of breath from the struggle. But finally, Tom shut up and listened to what Damion was saying. He didn't like this guy V so far. He sounded... harsh. He shuddered uncontrollably when the breeze caught him. "So... this guy V," He ran a hand through his bangs. "He protects the vampires and werewolves or what? I'm so confused... I just wish Kate were here..." He looked mournful again.

"In Chironine," replied Damion to Tom, "everyone protects everyone. We are a family, thus we treat each other like a family." He lead Tom across the metal platform to one of the edges. "Like I said before, we are a neutral force, only present to ease the fight between humans and werewolves and vampires. We try to protect the humans because of their vulnerability, but we will also fight back against an opposing force. And we will do the same vice versa. Anything to keep the peace." Removing a glove from his hand, he leaned down and placed it upon the metal. A white line appeared at the tip of his fingers then scanned all the way down to his wrist. The light disappeared and the corner of the platform rose to expose a triangular elevator roughly large enough for a couple of people. Damion stepped inside, pulling Tom along with. The elevator then lowered back into the ground. There was a light at the top of the elevator that dimly lit the space. Damion held up his hand, which had little, red prick marks all over it. "When you come to this place, you must place your hand over a corner. It will test your hand print, and also take a blood sample at the same time, for accurate identification." The elevator halted its descension and the door opened up to an extended hallway. It was lit by large chandeliers above, enough to see all the way to the end of the corridor, where a tall man stood. The man was dressed in a beige dress coat with matching trousers. His inside shirt was white and his tie was a striped lavender and light blue. His long blond hair was pulled back in a braid; nothing else was distinguishable at that distance. He had been looking off to the side at first, but once Damion and Tom stepped out of the elevator, he turned his head toward them, released his hands behind his back, and began walking toward them. At a few yards, the rest of his features were distinguishable. He had a sharp jaw line and thin lips and, the most striking, were his cataract eyes. They were nearly white, with just a shadow to indicate pupil. His expression had been vacant as the three approached each other. Throughout the time he approached them, the man had his eyes set on Tom's companion. Damion gave a brief bow of his head and murmured, "Greetings, V." V returned the bow and said, "My greatest appreciation, Damion. Your work here is done." Damion gave one last bow before walking off into the direction V had come. Once Damion had taken his leave, V moved his eyes onto Tom, a faint smile appearing on his face. He took Tom's hand in his own and gave it a single shake, saying, "Greetings, Thomas Anderson. My name is Vladimir Oxford, but you may call me V. Welcome to Chironine." V released Tom's hand and turned around, saying, "Follow me, please." He then began walking briskly toward the opposite end of the hall.

Tom gawked as Damion made an elevator-like thing appear from the ground. Once he was pulled in, Tom peered out the window like a child outside a toy store at Christmas Eve. Once they reached the top, Tom stayed back as Damion went forward. He saw the surroundings and was amazed at how rich everything looked. Who was this V? The hallway was quite long, but before he knew it, Tom eyed the man in the dress suit and then gulped as he looked their way. But only at Damion, and not him. Finally Tom braved a step forward and followed Damion towards, Tom guessed, his master. His frightened, but curious brown eyes shifted between the two nervously. "Greetings, V." said Damion, as if on cue. Tom's eyes shifted back to the handsome man. He bit his lip, chewed, and thought, "They must be very formal here." Now, the 16 year old felt stupid, and pulled his messed up shirt down and smoothed it out. When he looked up from straightening himself, he saw Damion walk away and then suddenly V was shaking his hand. "Greetings, Thomas Anderson. My name is Vladimir Oxford, but you may call me V. Welcome to Chironine." Tom could only stare stupidly. "Follow me," V commanded and Tom snapped out of his entrancement and followed quickly behind the man. "Um...sir," Tom said meekly from behind him. "I-I was just wondering... where are we exactly? And... well, who are you exactly? Like, are you a wolf or vampire..." He frowned at his own questions, getting angry with himself for seeming so small compared to this supposedly powerful man.

V didn't hesitate to reply to Tom's blunt questions with well-thought out answers. "We are located in the dispatch and surveillance department of Chironine," he spoke as he walked. "Here, special members monitor the 'mishaps' that occur across the country to see if there is suspicion of werewolf and/or vampire relations. You need not know where everything is; you will not be dwelling here." Once they reached the door at the end of the hall, V opened it using a pair of silver chopsticks. The next hallway was quite similar, except there were more various doors against the walls that flanked them. "However," continued V. "If you do happen to find yourself here with a specific location in mind, just place your hand up against this black screen." V indicated the ten inch by ten inch screen to his right. "It will scan your hand print and take a blood sample to validate your membership; as what Damion had just done to get into this unit." After this, V continued down the hall. "To answer your next question," said V, "I am V, the werewolf and the leader of Chironine of the United States. Now, let us talk of Chironine itself. We have well over a million members across the globe. I am only the leader of the one located in the United States. We are here to promote serenity between all species. We provide protection and training to those who need it. You do not need to be a member to receive lodging, but you do with training." V opened the door and stepped inside. Instead of another long corridor, there was an empty room with a large metal platform in the middle of it. V lowered himself to his knees and put his hand against one corner of the platform. A light appeared and trailed down his hand and then disappeared just like with Damion. The platform against ascended from the ground as an elevator, but this time with cushioned seats against the two side walls. "Please, Thomas," said V, as he stepped in. "Take a seat and we will continue our talk on the way to the Chironine headquarters."

Tom tried to take this all in. How come this organization hadn't been there before when he had been in real trouble? What was their purpose? They have a spy machine on the whole world?! Tom let out a shaky breath and rubbed his jaw. "Please, sir, it's Tom, and also... Training? I haven't exactly agreed that I would join. Your vampire, Damion led me here. I haven't agreed to anything... and, with no disrespect, what if I don't want your help?" He regretted his words, but he meant it. He just hoped V wasn't tricking him like he'd been tricked before so many times. When he watched the elevator come up, he noticed the sofa and thought, "Weird," but climbed into it anyway, staying way to the side, up against the arm. Also that was weird; he didn't like the idea of being pricked every single time he wanted to enter this domain. "I'm really sorry, but if I don't accept this offer, do I get to live?" He blinked at V, confused as ever.

The hint of a smile returned to V's lips. He seated himself, saying , "You have no reason to fear me at this moment, Thomas. Because you are not a member, I cannot harm you unless you pose as a threat to Chironine. If you do not wish to become a member, that is completely fine with me and you will be free to leave. But I would advise you to analyze your options. Truly I tell you, not joining Chironine could be much more dire than doing so, especially because of your desired diversity. We offer fierce protecting and vehement training as well." V leaned in toward Tom a few inches and said, "One unit of our training helps control 'wild' instincts of werewolves and vampires. Of course," he paused, sitting back again, "I doubt you would need help with that, but it is always an option." He stopped speaking for a moment and turned around, where another screen was. V tapped it once with his chopsticks and it blinked to life, showing a keyboard and a search box in it. "Do you care for Ozzy Osborne, Thomas?" he asked bluntly.
Throughout the time that Alan was working on Derek's car, Kate had been furiously playing with Rescue. The dog had the metabolism of a chimpanzee; he was perpetually active. As she rubbed the dog's belly, she heard footsteps approaching her. She looked up to see Derek, indicating a can of Dr. Pepper to her. He smirked and asked, "Quieres un Dr. Pepper?" She nodded and took the can. Derek sat down beside her and said, "Typical Alan to pick someone off the streets; don't feel embarrassed. I wouldn't be surprised if the dude started his own homeless shelter." Kate forced a smile and nodded. They stayed silent for a while before Kate asked, "I don't know Alan very well. What is he like?" Derek let out a snicker before saying, "If I didn't know better, I'd say he was the modern Messiah, you know? The dude's the nicest guy you're gonna ever meet. I have no hesitation when sayin' that. It's almost weird seeing a guy smile so much, you know? But he's just like that, I guess. He's.. uh... like a... like a dog. Always happy and always smiling." Derek laughed again, saying, "If I didn't know better, I'd think Rescue and him are brothers, man." Kate was able to make a little giggle in reply. "Hey, Derek," called Alan, walking out of the garage. Derek stood up and Alan said, "There were a few problems, but everything's cleared right now. You were low on transmission fuel, so I took care of that. And the sludge in your engine was getting pretty bad, so I think-" "Yeah, yeah," said Derek, "but is everything cool now?" Alan nodded and said, "Yeah, everything's taken care of. The cost will be seventy dollars." "Agh," sighed Derek, patting his pockets. "I don't have nothing right now. But I'll get you back, promise." Alan gave him a sheepish smile and said, "Do you think you could pay me by the end of this week? The rent is-" "Yeah, yeah, yeah," said Derek, crawling into his Corvette. "I'll get you back. No worries." He started up his car and eased out of the garage and onto the street. Kate stood up and watched Derek drive away. She thought it was quite rude at how he always interrupted Alan, but it didn't seem to bother him. Alan turned to Kate and said, "Would it be too much to ask for your real name?" She frowned at firs, but decided that her first name wouldn't hurt. "Kate," she murmured, rubbing the back of her neck. Alan smiled and said, "Okay, Kate. Well, I'm going to be here for most of the day, and I don't want to bore you. Would you like me to call Sophie? Perhaps she could take you shopping, if you want." "How about I just take Rescue for a walk around the town?" she asked. Sophie was a nice person, but she never liked to be around strangers. "Yeah, that would be fine," said Alan, his smile widening. "I'll go get his leash." Once Alan walked off, Kate crossed her arms and murmured, "He is like a dog."

As Tom listened, he couldn't help but be very interested in this man, no matter how fearful he was. This guy was so calm and... hospitable that he couldn't help but be intrigued the whole time the guy talked. Especially since he was talking about full-time protection. As awesome as this idea sounded, Tom was still nervous because he'd been tricked so many times before... but... maybe he'd think about it. He noted the fact that this guy said that the training could help you learn to control your instincts. "I doubt you would need help with that, but it is always an option." Tom frowned at that. He couldn't help but feel a little offended by that, even if the guy didn't mean it. Tom still had plenty of problems to deal with and it wasn't very easy controlling his wolf side sometimes even he wanted to. Sometimes, he just wanted to let go, but of course, he could never when he was around Kate. He immediately ashamed of himself because he knew Kate still feared him, after all they'd been through. And thinking of Kate, he got an idea. Before he could ask, he saw V with those chopsticks again, and he pondered on why the guy used them. Perhaps he was obsessed with them, or it was just his nature... Tom opened his mouth to ask the question when V spoke, "Do you care for Ozzy Osborne, Thomas?" This surprised Tom for he loved Ozzy, but it was just so... normal that Tom just nodded, fearing he would make a fool of himself and stammer like an idiot. After a while, Tom braved the question. "Mr. Oxford, I was wondering... if, maybe your clan could help me look for my friend Kate?"

"Hmmm... I'm feeling Rob Zombie more," murmured V. He used his chopsticks to type in something, and then the song 'Dragula' by Rob Zombie began blasting from the speakers above. He put his right leg under his left one and said, in a louder tone so Tom could hear, "We would be happy to locate her for you! However, you would have be in initiated into Chironine first for us to help you." V turned around again and flipped on a red switch. The elevator sprang from its stillness and moved sideways at about thirty miles per hour. "We will be arriving at the Chironine headquarters soon," he said, tapping his chopsticks to the beat of 'Dragula'. "As I'm sure Damion told you that respect is a very important thing to me. Since you are not a member, I will not punish you if you happen to show disrespect, but I will not allow you to join if you do." This time, V smiled for real, although it looked quite sinister. "I will not try to sweeten the deal to say you will not have any problems adjusting. I will be honest saying that I am very disciplinary when one breaks the rules. I do not give any warnings; I only give punishments. I do not chastise; I only physically abuse."

Tom was surprised again. He liked Rob Zombie as well. But then again, he liked anything his parents ever listened to. He only nodded as V told him they'd only help him if he joined. That made him lean more towards saying yes. But once V mentioned they would be arriving at his headquarters soon, Tom couldn't help but be a little excited. Not since forever, Tom managed a small smile at V. V continued to talk of his respect lecture. He nodded when he needed to and made a MAJOR mental note not to get on this guy's bad side. He didn't like the way those chopsticks looked suddenly. And when the guy mentioned the physical abuse, Tom could only look shock and blink rapidly. But he really wanted to help Kate, so maybe he should join... it seemed like a good deal.

V smile widened at Tom's reaction to the words 'physically abuse'. He raised his hand and said, "But as I told you before, you have no reason to fear me now." The elevator abruptly stopped moving, which made both V and Tom shift to the side a little due to inertia. "Looks like we have arrived," said V, standing up. The elevator door opened and V stepped out. Once Tom did, the elevator door shut and descended to the ground. The dispatch and surveillance unit before had very long corridors, but not as many decorations as it was in the Chironine headquarters. The hallways had wooden floors flanked with carpet against the wall. The walls had various colored draperies on it, and light was emitted from the many crystal chandeliers that hung from the ceiling. Several yards away on the left of the hallway was an entrance to what seemed like a living room, due to the visible furniture there. Several men were idling in the hallway, and noticed V and Tom appear. "Benjamin, Sterling, Hogarth," called V as he beckoned them towards him. They obliged instantly, approaching with haste. The men were dressed like normal middle-aged men; nothing fancy such as V's attire. But Benjamin was missing a few fingers from his hand, and Hogarth had a visible scar across his neck. "Greetings, V," they said in unison, along with a unison bow. V returned the bow and said, "This is Thomas Anderson, a possible new member. Please share with him of your training here. Sterling, you start." Sterling nodded and said to Tom, "The training is very harsh, but it all pays off in the end. Everyone receives the same amount of training whether they are strong or weak." V smiled and Hogarth stepped forward. "It requires a lot of self-discipline along with the discipline from V," he said. "No matter how skilled you do get, you actually never stop training." Benjamin snorted and said, "It's very... hard in the beginning, but after a few years, you get used to it." "Thank you, men," said V, pleased. "Would you advise Thomas to join?" "Most definitely," said Hogarth. "If you wanna get stronger," grunted Benjamin. "It's really the best choice," added Sterling. V nodded and said, "You may leave now." The men all turned and walked away, in unison once again.

What the hell was this? The Holocaust? Tom frowned at the trio, but just nodded to each as they introduced themselves. The area around was quite distracting, so Tom ended up looking through them instead of at them. He listened, however, and was getting rather worried. The missing limbs and scars were starting to scare him. Especially how formal they were. To Tom, he kind of liked the politeness, but it almost seemed as if they were robots. Or, maybe V was just that great. He was being treated with respect, like he seems so stubborn to tell. Tom eyed the blond man out from the corner of his eye with curiosity. Finally, Tom smiled softly at the men and watched them go. As he watched, he thought more and more about how weak he was even now. Perhaps this offer would pay off, as Sterling had said. Huffing with stress Tom just stood there and was still eying the many things around him. This guy's rich, Tom thought.

"As I'm sure you can see," said V, indicating the surrounding, "Chironine is quite wealthy. But that is because of the members here, not only me. Every associate here gave up all of his/her money and possessions to become initiated. Other monetary sources are from other parts of the world. Chironine receives a large sum of money from other facilities like this one. As we do to them also." V began to leisurely walk through the corridors. "I will speak of the rules as we tour through the grounds," he added. "Now, there is a vast amount of rules. I supplied each room with a rule book... that is three-hundred pages long. But I will speak to you of the most significant to me. "The first rule is never... ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, e-ver alter into wolf form on Chironine grounds. This has the most dire consequence: death. Following this rule is do unto other as you would have them do unto you. Also known as treat others as you would have them treat you; to make a friend, be a friend; treat others with respect. This means I don't want you to say anything that could hurt another person's feelings; I don't want to see you put any physical abuse on another person unless I permit you to; and I don't want to see any disrespectful gestures. I will hurt you if you do. "Don't horseplay unless the other person wants to horseplay. If you happen to horseplay, do not harm anyone else in the process of horseplay. During horseplay, do not damage any surroundings because they are expensive, and I will hurt you if you do. "On the issue of other dorms: you have your own dorm, so use it. You may spend the night in other dorms, but only with the consent of the person owning the dorm. Do not go into other dorms unless with the consent of the person owning the dorm. Do not trash other dorms. You have to be quiet after 10:00 pm; no excessive noise. I will hurt you if you do make excessive noise. "Another very important rule," continued V, as they passed through the kitchen, "is do not lie to me. If you happen to complain about someone's bad behavior and I discover you are lying, I will hurt you twice as hard. I have cameras of every dorm and every room. I check the history of them to see if the complaints I have are true. "We have an arena in Chironine where members gather for Mosh Day. Mosh Day is every first Monday of the month. There, I randomly choose two members to fight each other. The fight may go on for as long as it takes for one fighter to surrender, or when one fighter is knocked unconscious, or when I just call it off because of the excessive damage each fighter has. "On the Sabbath, each member is required to stay in his/her room for a total of one hour from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm to rest or do whatever he/she wants." V turned to Tom and said, "Those are the main rules, but there are plenty more in the rule book."

Tom listened to the rules, sometimes with a scared look, other times with a perplexed or confused. He walked behind V, making sure not to run into him as he looked around the rooms. After V was finished, and Tom scared shitless, he spoke. "Mr. Oxford, just out of curiosity, what makes you so determined to make everyone show respect towards each other? I mean, I would do the same, but sometimes things slip... why physical abuse? And about Mosh Day... it sounds... interesting. Does anyone ever die on those days, or do you stop them before that happens? Um..." Tom had many questions, but the main one on his mind was: "Why do you call me by my full name instead of just Tom?" He ears grew warm, and he immediately felt stupid. But...maybe he could join. But this training and abuse didn't really float his boat.

V nodded at Tom's questions and, after he was finished, said, "I value respect very much, as does everyone else. I do not want people to feel as if they are in a public school with bullies and critics, but in a haven where they are accepted and loved. In Chironine, we think of each other as family, and we treat each other even better than family. Physical abuse is the best way to get people to follow your orders. I will emphasize on that later. "Many members get badly wounded due to Mosh Day," continued V, "but I have never allowed any deaths yet so far." V smiled and said, "You saw how I introduced Benjamin and Hogarth. They would rather be known as Ben and Garth, but I would rather use the full names that their parents gave them. As I do with you, Thomas." "You see, Thomas," said V, turning away from Tom, "the only reason that Chironine has maintained peace and prosperity is because I control them with fear. Many people think that this is wrong, but I do not. There is no other way to control people but to remain known as a threat to them. That is how one earns the respect one requires. If you think of it, the whole world is controlled by fear. Many people do not commit crimes because they fear that they will be put in prison for doing so. Employees do not fool around at work because they fear they will be fired. Children do not disobey their parents because they fear that they will be punished. Even God controls his people with fear. Some people don't disobey God's commandments because they fear going to Purgatory." V turned to Tom once again, with a small smile on his face. "Fear is good, Thomas. If there was no fear, this world would lead to Purgatory. To maintain balance, we need fear."
Kate stroked Rescue's fur softly. She was sitting on a bench at the edge of a sidewalk with Rescue laying on her lap. She had walked around town with the dog, trying to familiarize herself with the city. It turned out that the town's name was Redbrook, as she saw on the Redbrook National Bank. She was thinking of her plan. The plan that would end everything. It was so perfect, but no where near easy. Kate felt so very guilty for leaving Tom, but she knew what she was doing was right. She dragged Tom into this, so she felt responsible for the struggle he had been through. She would be able to take him out if this plan worked. "Chelsea!" called a voice. Kate didn't respond to it at first, but then remembered that her alias's name was Chelsea. She looked up and saw a car in her view. She saw Sophie in the driver's seat along with another woman in the passenger's seat. "Oh," she murmured. "Hi, Sophie." "We went by Alan's garage and he said that you were taking Rescue for a walk around town. Come on in." Kate stood up and walked over to the car. Once she opened the door, Rescue hopped in and she followed. "This is Denise," said Sophie, indicating the woman in the passenger's seat. "Hi," greeted Kate. Denise smiled at Kate and said, "Hey, nice to meet you. We're going to get some china for Sophie's wedding. Would you mind coming with us?" Kate recalled the kiss that Sophie and Alan exchanged when she first met Sophie. "Oh, so you're getting married to Alan?" she asked. Sophie and Denise stared at Kate for a moment, and Denise burst into laughter. Sophie smiled and said, "I'm engaged to my boyfriend, Chuck. You haven't met him yet." Kate blushed furiously, murmuring, "Oh, gosh, I'm really sorry. I just thought that... you two were..." Sophie shook her head and said, "No, no. I understand. Alan's like a brother to me." Kate nodded her head and apologized again, feeling so stupid for jumping to such a conclusion.
