Tom blushed at V's words on Jasmine. "H-Hey!" He started to protest, but then relaxed when he realized it was a joke. However the next second he focused on V's words intently. He listened and calmly accepted V's words, though they truly frightened him. "I'll.... have to set up an appointment soon then." He confirmed, and thought about doing tonight. But maybe not the serious one yet, perhaps he'd just stick with weights. He was actually ten times more nervous than he was yesterday. In the middle of his thinking, he was pushed off, and he let out a loud yelp of surprise. He got up and brushed himself off, looking at V a little irritably. But he brushed it off and tried to cheer up for Autumn's 'performance'. He hoped it'd be awesome. But then V mentioned Jasmine again, and his hope sank. He just nodded and ran a hand through his thick hair, deciding he'd just go to supper then leave Jaz alone.

The main dishes were shrimp and scallop scampi or grilled salmon accompanied by potato skins and other usual side dishes, like cooked greens and other things available at the salad bar. Once Tom walked into the room, V could sniff out his distinct presence even amongst over the innumerous scents of over a hundred members and many different foods. He scanned the room until he saw the teenager's flimsy figure near the entrance. "Thomas!" thundered V as he stood up and waved his hand to the boy way across the room. His exclamation quieted the whole room for a moment, but it gradually eased into its previous clamor of chatting. V slithered through the labyrinth of tables, chairs, and people with no effort at all and repeated the movement holding Tom by the wrist with his chopsticks. "I got us front row seats," he said to him with an excited tone. "I always want one of my members' first concert to be of the best quality." He seated Tom down at the table; however, it was right next to Jasmine. This was planned by V in order to give the two an opportunity to work out their issues before the concert. He doubted that it would work, but he didn't care much. Throughout the supper, Jasmine barely gave any acknowledgment that Tom was even there, indicating that she still felt resentment toward his rejection her which she very much did. Nevertheless, she still chatted and joked with the others at the table, intentionally making Tom feel alienated.

The second V shouted, Tom literally froze in place, his heart hammering against his chest. Hair stood on the back of his neck, his eyes wide and he saw everyone freeze as well and become silent. Some even looked at him. He blushed vigorously at the sudden attention and watched V gracefully make his way through the tables and crowd. He gulped as the older man approached him and took his wrist with his... chopsticks? He blinked. Odd.... but then again V had an air of oddballism. But also an air of superiority, and Tom was not about to bare his teeth at the alpha just because he was embarassed. So he followed obidently and sat down.. right next to Jaz. "Fuck." He muttered very quietly under his breath. But tried smiling at her, however she seemed to ignore him throughout the whole time..... And Tom eventually did feel alienated. Very alienated. He grew... somewhat depressed and lonely for the moment. He had friends around him, yet he barely knew any of them, didn't feel at home yet, and Jaz... was very upset with him. He felt like shit. He felt very alone. So he thought of Kate. Though it made him worry more, it settled his heart some when he pictured her safe and happy.

((Since neither your computer nor your phone is very compliant with Youtube, I'll only do one song. Autumn usually performs three or four along with a few comedy acts. Here's the song: Eat at Joe's by Suzy BoggussAfterward, it's straight (nearly straight) to the action!)) To V's chagrin, not only did Tom and Jasmine not work out their issue but Jasmine's intentional ignoring of Tom evidently made Tom feel worse. He made a saddened "awww" under his breath and deliberated on what he could do to make Tom feel more welcomed. It was usual of V to pay a lot of attention to the newcomers because they would often feel out of place during the first few months. It was when V put his glass of strawberry champagne to his lips that a solution appeared in his head. He smiled slyly and set the glass right in front of Tom. "Thomas..." he cooed, twirling a strand of his blonde hair between his fingers.”Look! Alcohol. You kids love alcohol. Go ahead. It's right there." His smile widened as he added, "I'll make it even more enticing." After taking it from his jacket and unwrapping it, he plopped a pink lollipop into the glass. V admired the artistic beauty of Tom’s treat with gleaming eyes. "And..." he said in a suddenly menacing tone, "... if you don't accept my hospitality, I will take it as an insult." As he smiled, his irises glimmered with yellow. V tuned into the sound of the feet that scuttled behind the stage's curtain as soon as it began to quiet down. With a heart racing in excitement, he whispered, "It's about to begin!" No sooner did he speak that the lights dimmed down and rushed in the pandemonium of "shh's." The sound of the scarlet curtains drawing back emitted a "shh!" itself. The strange lights appeared and shone down on the scenery of a seedy, little café. To the left of the stage were three little tables with different kinds of chairs occupied by a few shabbily dressed people drinking coffee and enjoying a plate of breakfast food. To the right were two perpendicular counters with a cash register, a coffee maker, and a jar filled with toothpicks. Beside the counters was a jukebox. Autumn was sitting on top of one of the counters, wearing a typical light blue waitress outfit with her hair in a tassel bun on top of her head. Finally, hanging from the ceiling was a blinking, blue neon sign that read: JOE'S CAFÉ. "JOE'S” was big and bold while “CAFÉ” was below that and small. Autumn jumped off the counter and walked over to one of the tables where a man was seated. She took out her notepad and said, “Good evenin’, Frank. What can I do you for?” “Do you have any gin?” asked the man in a dazed stupor. Autumn smiled and said, “You know that I don’t serve alcohol after midnight, Frank.” “I’ll make it worth your while,” he grunted before spitting tobacco on the floor. The audience shared a laugh. Autumn sighed and said, “I’m sure it would be, but you’d have to wait until my shift’s over.” “But I’ll be too sober, then,” he retorted and the audience laughed once more. “Exactly,” said Autumn with a smile. “I’ll get you a… cup of joe.” The music of a piano and violin began as Autumn strutted back to her counter. She leaned upon the table and began singing with, “I go to work from… 10:30… until 6 a. m. Raking up the… dimes and quarters.” She picked up a frying pan and put it to her breast. “Slinging eggs and ham.” She took an egg and cracked it in the frying pan as she sung, “Scrambled, poached, or over-easy. Coffee black and strong.” With a plate, she walked over to the jukebox. “Jukebox of… scratchy records. I play ‘em all night long.” She walked with a sway over to one of the tables, singing, “Eternal blue neon. We never close! When the world is asleep, darling, come take a seat.” She set the plate down in front of a woman giving a toothless grin. “You can always eat at Joe’s.” All of the customers turned to the audience and repeated, “Eat at Joe’s.” The man, Frank, got up from his chair and staggered over to Autumn as she brought a cup of coffee and sang, “Here comes ol’ Frank Taylor, smelling like old gin.” Frank smiled and slurred, “Gin!” Autumn walked over to him and began leading him back to his seat, as she lamented, “Guess his wife couldn’t get him sober. It’s up to me again.” She set him down and put down the cup. “Here’s a hot top on the coffee. Honey, you’re a mess.” She crossed his arms as he spit on the floor again. “I ain’t your wife, I… ain’t your momma. I’ll do, I guess.” She approached the audience, lifting up her arms. “Eternal blue neon. We never close!” She put her arms over her chest and swayed as she moaned, “When the world is asleep, darling, come take a seat. You can always eat at Joe’s.” The diners chanted in unison, “Eat at Joe’s.” Autumn walked down the stairs to the dining room and leaned her hand on the stage as a handsome man entered from the left. “Hello, Prince Charming,” she swooned. “Where are you, dear?” Walking over to the toothless woman, he took her by the arm and she clung to him. The audience laughed once more as Autumn continued, “When will you come and order biscuits here?” Suddenly, she began to, literally, glide through the tables on roller skates during an instrumental segment. She stopped at several tables to pick up dishes. In her course of doing it, she snatched away the glass that Tom had and gave him a playfully disapproving glare. Approaching the stairs, she sang, “Truck drivers… musicians… with no place to go.” She advanced up the stairs slowly. “I can be your…” She looked back at the audience with a smirk. “… domestic goddess…” She continued up the steps and said, “… for an hour or so.” Autumn glided across the stage and sang one last time, “Eternal blue neon. We never close.” The customers stood up and began swaying themselves just as Autumn did. “When the world is asleep, darling, come take a seat. You can always eat at Joe’s.” Autumn pointed to the audience and they responded with, “Eat at Joe’s.” Autumn strolled back to the counter, murmuring, “Go to work at…" She paused and whisled a short tune. "Black coffee strong…” The customers pointed at the audience and they said, “Eat at Joe’s!” Autumn tapped on the bell on the counter and softly said, “Order in.” Sighing, she lifted herself onto the counter and flipped her hair back as the music ended. Once the lights dimmed and the curtains concealed over the stage, the audience began their applause with plenty of shouts and whistles to accompany it. V grinned as he clapped and, over the clapping, he shouted to Tom, “Wasn’t that great?”

Throughout the whole performance Tom was intrigued. When Autumn passed him, he scoffed and looked innocent..but turned that innocent smile to V, afraid he'd be pissed that his 'gift' was so easily taken away.
Once the song was done, Tom clapped with the audience, blown away by the performance. He smiled at V and nodded. Once the crowd settled, some people began to get up to go do other things. Tom stood as well and stretched. He then said goodnight to V, then retreated, avoiding Jasmine's gaze.

It was four o'clock in the morning when Kate suddenly awoke. She couldn't remember the dream she had before, if she did have one. She turned over in the couch to face the living room. Once her eyesight adjusted to the darkness in the room, she saw Megan and Cora snuggled up together in their colorful sleeping bags. Kate smiled. She loved it here... with Alan... and the girls... and the normal life. It was a shame that she would have to leave it all behind. It was then that she shot straight up in bed with wide eyes. What was yesterday? she thought frantically. It was... Tuesday. Oh my God. Today is Wednesday. Oh God, no. It can't be today already. Without another thought, Kate jumped out of the couch and scuttled across the hall to Alan's room. Once she was at his bed, she hesitated for a moment. Rescue was beside Alan at the wall; he awoke when Kate walked in and began wagging his fluffy tail. Do I really want to know? she asked herself as she bit her knuckle. No, I have to. "Alan?" she choked out, already getting emotional. He made no response. She sighed and repeated in a louder voice, "Alan?" He made a groan and shifted in his bed. "Please wake up, Alan. I need to speak with you." He let out a huff and turned around to face her. "Yes, darling?" he asked dully with his eyes still closed. "Is today Wednesday?" she asked. He opened his eyes and blinked. "You hate me, don't you?" he asked. "I mean, deep down inside?" "Alan," she murmured questionably. "Because why else would you wake someone," he went on, "just to ask them what day it is if you didn't despise them with all your heart?" With a wry smile, she said, "I'm serious. Is today Wednesday?" Alan sighed and said, "Yes, it is the worst day of the week. May I inquire about your inquiry?" Kate stayed silent, putting her hands over her face. Knots of dread in her chest and her stomach tightened. "Um, do you think," she asked slowly and hesitantly, "that- uh- I could... sleep with you tonight?" Alan smiled and replied, "You're not going to buy me dinner first?" She giggled at that, but then the laughs eased into sobs. "Oh no, Kate," cried an alarmed Alan, "I'm sorry! I didn't mean it. I was just joking. Please don't cry!" Kate shook her head and said, "No, it's not you. It's just... I don't know. I can't explain." "That's fine," said Alan with a concerned smile. "Come on in." Alan moved over against the wall as Kate crawled into his bed. He nudged Rescue off of the bed, who was reluctant to but eventually gave in. She faced away from Alan as he faced toward her. After a moment, he asked, "Do you want to talk about it?" Kate didn't answer him; she wasn't sure how to. She wanted to tell him everything like he told her everything, but it was safest for him to remain ignorant. She couldn't get another innocent person caught up in the mess that is her life. Having Alan beside her was comforting, but her mind wouldn't allow her to get any sleep. After two hours, Kate cautiously got out of bed. She quietly paced around the apartment, got a little snack from the fridge, paced around again, and then left the apartment. The cold morning air rushed at her like wind once she exited the apartment building. She stood motionless outside it, watching the sun gradually inch its way over the orange and pink horizon. Kate no longer felt that confidence and determination to carry out her "genius" plan as she did before. Sighing, she sat down on the bench a few feet from the building and contemplated what she was going to do. "Was it something I said?" asked Alan, who was right behind her. She jolted once she heard him and turned over to glare at him. He had a humored grin on his face. "I thought I was as silent as a mouse," she murmured displeased. "It wasn't you," he said, sitting down beside her. "There was too much space in my bed that I woke myself up." "Don't you usually sleep alone?" "Technically, but Rescue takes up the unnecessary space." They smiled at each other and shared a moment of silence. A bunch of birds swarmed a tree across the parking lot, making little whistles and chirps as they greeted each other. The number cars passing by to go to work soared as time went by. "I have to leave today," Kate said finally. Alan turned to her with a taken aback expression; it was somewhat hurt as well. Blinking, he asked, "Why? Where are you going?" "I ran away for a while," said Kate without emotion. "Just to... get away from things. But I have to go back. To Seattle. I have to do things." Alan sensed that Kate didn't want to delve any further into her circumstances. So he just sat back and said, "Oh." They stayed silent for a bit longer. Stinging tears swam in Kate's eyes and spilled over silently. "I'm sorry," she gasped, failing to hold back her weeping. Alan stared at her but she didn't look at him. "Thank you so much. You've been... so wonderful to me. I appreciate all that you've done." Sliding her red hair behind her ear, Kate met his gaze at last and smiled as she said, "You're a really good person, Alan. Don't ever doubt that." His hazel eyes softened and glimmered. He moved closer and wrapped his arms around her waist, giving her a warm hug against the cold air. She put her arms around his neck and cried into the nape of his neck for a while. After a few minutes, Alan pulled back and smiled at her, staring at her puffy green eyes. He raised his hand and then caressed her right cheek, running his thumb gently over her wet eye. Slowly, he moved in and kissed her lips. Kate not only allowed it but participated in it. With her eyes closed, she let her arms slide down so her hands were against his shoulders. Alan moved his head to the other side and continued. He's a really good kisser, thought Kate with a fluttered heart; gentle but passionate all the while. The dread within her dissipated to be replaced with giddy exhiliration. Trying to stop, Alan broke away but returned to give Kate a few more pecks. He took her hands in his and stood up with a really happy grin on his face. She followed his lead and they returned to the apartment hand-in-hand with Alan leading. Now quite shy, she walked into his bedroom as he shooed Rescue out and shut the door behind him. With a content sigh, he sat on the bed but waited for her so that she could make the next move. Being too bashful to do anything else, Kate sat on her knees beside him and caressed his face and chest. He kissed her again and the giddiness returned to Kate. She involuntarily giggled a bit in the middle of their snogging and Alan couldn't help but laugh, too. This time, Kate put her lips against his and he lied down with her on top of him. As he lowered his lips, he started kissing her neck and stroking her back and waist. With her breathing hastening, she felt her lust escalate with every kiss he gave her. "Kate," he breathed. Alan rose himself with her, began kissing her lips again, and gently turned themselves over so that he was above her. Once he did this, he osculated her neck and chest as he caressed her thighs. She had shorts on, so they were completely exposed. Kate's fingers gripped the fabric of his shirt; her breaths were shuddering with pleasure. Alan slowly lowered himself, pecking every part of Kate that he lips passed by, until he settled at her abdomen and legs. He raised her shirt a little so that he could graze her hips with his lips. Then, he put his lips against her inner thighs, kissing and caressing them with his tongue. As he did this, he was tenderly stroking Kate's stomach and pelvic area. Oh, God, thought Kate as she floated up to cloud nine. It feels so damn good! Now her lust was burning in her. "You're so beautiful, Kate," murmured Alan lovingly. "I want you so badly." She released a little gasp when he pressed his lips against her pubic region. She knew that part of her must already be wet with sweat and scented with her personal smell. "Alan," she moaned as he continued to fondle her there. It was then that her sense finally reached her in her clouded state of lust. I can't do this, she thought, biting her lip. Alan can't get any more involved with me than he already is. Stop this now! No sooner did she think this that Alan slided his fingers underneath her clothing and slipped them between her lower lips. Kate emitted a pleasured gasp, but thought, God dammit! As Alan stroked her, he kissed her pelvis, using his chin to gradually pull down her shorts. "Alan," she murmured breathlessly, "I can't..." Whether he heard it or not, he didn't acknowledge what she said. If she was going to stop him, she would have to really stop him. Just as he began rubbing her entrance, Kate sat up and put her hand on his shoulder. "Please, Alan, stop." He rose his head to meet her eyes and stopped fondling her. Blinking, he sat up and stared at her with an upset look. "I'm sorry, Kate," he said, still trying to catch his breath. "I should've asked you." She shook her head and said, "No, no. Don't worry about that." Sheepishly, she added, "I might've approved anyway. I just... I don't want to make leaving any harder than it already is." Alan nodded and said, "I understand. I'm sorry. I got too caught up in it." Kate put her hand on his cheek and said, "Don't say that. Don't apologize. There's no need to." Kate put her hand down and sighed, feeling the guilt and the regret of stopping something so good. "Um..." said Alan awkwardly, standing up. "I.. um... have to go..." Kate laughed and said, "Go ahead. I won't be insulted." Smiling, Alan stood there staring at her for a moment before going off to the bathroom. With a groan, Kate rolled over onto her stomach, thinking, You just have to blow every chance you get, huh?

((................. hot but...... *cries a little*.....my inner Tom is heartbroken..........)) The long night made Tom have a deep but dark sleep. All night nightmares disturbed his sleep.... All about Kate. But so much more was felt than missing her. He was on a roof. It was stormy out. The clouds were grey and it was nighttime. Though the city lights below were glowing and the traffic was loud, to Tom's eyes and ears, everything was too bright, too deafening. But just as he opened his eyes, he saw Kate. She was standing on the ledge of the building not 10 feet away from him. Her hair was long and black; her true hair style that she had when they had first met. She turned to look at him, that hair flowing gently by her face. "Tom...." she whispered, but her voice cut through Tom like needles. It sounded lost and hopeless. He reached out to her.....but then, she smiled softly...... and jumped. "KATE!" He screamed so loud his voice was shrill. He ran to the ledge, and saw she was gone. She wasn't anywhere in site. He looked around frantically, then turned around. He screamed as he saw Marcy's face smiling evily into his own. Her yellow eyes glinted and her fangs protruded from her lips. She started to cackle but then.... she started to shift. Tom's heart nearly stopped as she didn't turn wolf, but turned into red-haired Kate. His eyes widened. "K-Kate....?" She smirked and then leaned in towards him, very close, as if to kiss him, but just before their lips met, she pushed him off the building, her cackles echoing off the area. Tom let out a silent scream as he fell. The wind whipped through his entire being, and he fell towards the noise, towards the blinding lights. Just before he hit the ground, he shut his eyes. When he opened them, ash and sparks of embers flew all around him. He was standing in a ruined city. But this city looked like a place of hell. At that moment, Tom was convinced this was hell. Buildings aflame and the roads scorched under flames and lava, but there were not signs of life. Tom watched the fires, his heart racing and his entire body in a hot sweat. He took a few steps towards the city, staring in horror as he saw burnt, crisp corpses of once alive civilians. Babies, children, women, men, all dead. But not all were burnt. Some were torn to pieces.... and drained of blood and ripped from their skins. Tom immediately knew what had caused this. And no sooner and he thought it did he hear growls. Growls all around him. Some snarls and a few howls echoed in the back. Pure fear took over him. But he closed his eyes, clenched his fists, then opened his eyes back up only to be staring into a very demonic face of a wolf. The beast snarled into Tom's face, its teeth bared and eyes singing of death and evil. Tom slunk down, whimpering and covering his ears. He shut his eyes tight and then screamed, screamed so loud he felt his throat rip and blood oozed from his mouth. His senses whirled and he opened his eyes to find the wolves gone, but he himself had turned. His black ebony fur was matted with ash and.... blood? His slim figure shivered violently as he realized he tasted flesh. His eyes widened as he stood, petrified, as he looked down at countless of bodies. All dead, all torn apart. Their dying screams echoed in his mind as he looked at everyone. Members of Chironine, Adam Blood, Dr. Stacy Stein, Raymond, Rico, his parents and Joey. But then there was Jasmine and Autumn...and Kate. Kate was the one he had been feasting on. He took a few steps back, shaking violently. "Thomas." The voice cut through his shock, his numbed senses, and Tom looked up to see V, far in the distance. Chironine was burning behind him, but the man reach out a hand towards Tom. The Wereling took the chance and ran towards V. He ran, but he was going no where. He looked down and saw to his pure horror he was running in blood. Screams of his victims echoed into his wolf ears, and he whimpered as hands reached out from the pool. They grabbed at his fur, trying to drag him down, and Tom looked up at V. However the man now standing above him simply shook his head and turned to walk away. "I am very disappointed. You really are worthless..." His silver hair fluttered in the ash, then he crumbled to ash himself right before Tom's eyes. The teen watched as he was being dragged down, demonic faces of his loved ones screaming at him and wailing. He tried to breathe but blood filled his nose and mouth. His paws tried to paddle their way up to surface, but the more he tried, the more he sank. He lost his air, and he felt himself slowly fainting. But death wouldn't come..... and his loved ones wept for him. Then Jasmine's, V's, Marcy's, Joey's, and Kate's, who was loudest of all, voices all whispered in icy tones:
"YOU. WON'T. SURVIVE."A gut wrenching cry of agony tore through Tom as he shot up from his bed. Soaked in sweat, tears, Tom didn't notice the blood until he looked down at his crimson sheets and his wrist. There was a large bite mark there. The pain didn't come until Tom figured out he had bitten himself during his sleep. Out of horror and pain he had sank his own teeth into his own skin.... to probably wake himself. Panting and holding his wrist, Tom trembled. In a state of shock he did nothing but silently cry and rock himself back and forth until his alarm shot him out of his senses. He looked to the clock and remembered something almost more dreadful than the dream.... but not quite. It was Wednesday. People were going to die...

That morning passed by very quickly for V, as he was sure it did with the other members as well. His anxiety and excitement was rising with every hour that passed. He was quite anxious because he knew that there would be human casualties no matter what Chironine did. There's nothing he could do to completely prevent the grief that families will have to face with burying a loved one in a closed casket. All they could do was to make sure that number of families that have to endure that is put to a minimum. About an hour after breakfast, V assembled the beginners in the training room. There were twenty-one men altogether in a straight horizontal line; the majority of their membership ranged from a few months to nearly two years. A rather short but stocky man was standing beside V wearing a tight navy button-up and tight black trousers. He had wavy brown hair and deep set smoky blue eyes with dark circles under them. "Welcome, babies," announced the man with a smirk. V nudged him with his elbow, frowning but hiding a smile. "If you don't already know," said V stepping aside and indicating the man with his hand, "this is Ezra Montag. He volunteers to help beginners with their training. And he will be helping me today to prepare you for what's going to come up tonight." V began to walk from side to side as he explained, "Today is an important day, as you all know. There will be a confrontation between us and our enemies. A lot of blood will be shed; let's just hope that most of it is our enemies. However, you will not, I repeat, will not be fighting against the enemy. Your duty is even more important than fighting the enemy. Your job today is to escort the innocents out of the gym so there will be as little innocent casualties as possible. "You will be supplied with a gun to protect yourself and the innocents. The only time you will ever use that gun is if there are 'wolves attacking you or the innocents. You do not just spray a bunch of bullets into random 'wolves because they might be allies. Also, don't you dare play the hero. I've seen quite a few beginners die because they thought they were being brave, but they were actually being stupid. "If you see a 'wolf bite an innocent, don't concern yourself with that innocent anymore. Once they are bitten, they could be on their way to becoming an enemy. In that case, just ignore it and try your best to save as many lives as you can. Don't stop to explain to them what's happening, just get them the hell out!" V's strict face softened into a smile. "Now, to the shooting range!" V lead them to a different room and they were each given a handgun and earplugs. They were given time to practice with V and Ezra directing them and what they should do. Ezra approached Tom and pointed to a little bump on top of the gun, saying, "That's where you want to have your aim at. Don't lock your arms, but do keep them firm as well as your hands on the gun."

Tom was obviously late to the meeting. He got there as soon as everyone was in full stance. He entered a little noisily, simply in a rush. When he saw some man talking, he halted, then slowly sunk into the shadows and behind all the other members, bright red in the face.
At the practice, Tom looked very nervously at the gun. He also had a very nervous gut feeling around this man named 'Ezra' as he had found out. For some reason.... Tom didn't like him. He seemed...off.... He frowned at the gun as the man walked away. He gulped. He had only held a gun once before, but hadn't gotten a chance to shoot it. But... he hadn't wanted to at that time. But it was a manner of life or death. And truthfully, he didn't think he could kill anyone.... "Uh............V?" He called nervously, but somewhat softly, due to the lump in his throat.

V kept himself quite occupied with directing the newer members how to handle their weapon properly. When he wasn't helping them, he was filling his big mug with hot coffee from his thermos. After downing his second cup, his eyes turned onto Tom who was just fiddling around with the handgun. V expected the boy to have trouble; what would disturb him much more is if he could handle a gun. After setting his mug down, V approached him even before he asked for assistance. "Having a little trouble, Thomas?" asked V, even though the answer was obvious. "How can I help you?"

Tom still looked at the gun. "Er......yeah....." he frowned, and looked up, feeling stupid. "I..... don't really know the 'jist' of shooting. I mean.. you cock the gun and pull the trigger, but I'm nervous about the aiming part." He was sure he'd make a fool of himself.
((How bout V aiming with him, eh? Linin' him up.... body against body....mmmhmm.))

((I might've done it... if you hadn't told me to. XD Nah, it's too good of an opportunity to pass due to your commanding me.)) Lowering his eyes, V nodded and said, "There's a time in a person's life where he must choose whether he will be a victim..." His eyes shot back up at Tom's. "... or an offender. You can usually choose to be neither or both, but in these circumstances there is no choice. You can hurt or be hurt." V took Tom's hand in which he held the gun and clasped it with both of his hands, saying in a calm but serious voice , "This does not kill unless you choose to, Thomas. When fighting, don't focus on slaying the enemy. Focus on saving yourself and your comrades and the innocents. That is true for any warrior." V adjusted their position so that they were facing the target, which had the silhouette of a menacing wolf. While standing against Tom's back, he held Tom's right hand up with his own just a few inches from Tom's cheek and took Tom's left hand, placing it underneath the hilt of the gun. He placed his temple on the back of Tom's head. "Now," he murmured into Tom's ear with his white hot eyes searing into the target, "in default position, you keep a firm grip on the gun, your right hand holding the hilt with your index finger on the side of the trigger, not against it. You may flex your finger accidentally. Then, you have your left hand holding the underside of the hilt, touching the side of your right hand." V stretched Tom's arms out to aim at the target and moved Tom's index finger inside the hole, lightly touching the trigger. "When you're ready to shoot, you keep your arms bent and don't lock them. Use the little bump on the edge of the gun as your reference point. When you're ready..." Tightening his grip on Tom's hands, V whipsered into his ear, "Bang bang." V released Tom and backed away, saying, "You should develop the habit of shooting your target twice. The more you shoot, the better chance the targer will be unable to hurt you or anyone else." He placed his hand on Tom's shoulder. "Just give it some tries. There's no harm in practicing."

The awkwardness of V being so close to him made Tom uncomfortable and he blushed a bit, feeling stupid. But as V explained things, Tom heard a pounding in his ears. His heartbeat, no less, but it was very loud. Only V's voice seemed to get through it. He nodded to V as he mentioned practice and then got into position. Bang! Bang! Tom looked at the target and found he had hit the sillohette's arm and shoulder. He blinked. At least he hit it. But this was going to take forever to perfect. ~ Tom stayed rather late in the training area. After everyone but a few.members had left, Tom was still shooting. He finally set the gun down and stretched. He then thought about Jasmine. He thought about their encounter in the closet, and he knew how he had hurt her. So deciding it was now or never if he got killed tomorrow, he'd go apologize.

For about ten minutes now, Jasmise has been standing outside the shooting range room trying to gather up as much courage as she could to face Tom. So far, it wasn't working out very well. Occasionally, she would peek her head in through the doorway to see how Tom was doing. For a beginner, he wasn't that bad. As she was secretly eyeing him, he finallly put down his gun and began to stretch. She quickly retreated from view and let herself fall back against the wall. It was evident that he was quitting, so she knew she would have to confront him at this point. Her chest ached with dread. Just do it, she mentally ordered herself. Jasmine lifted her right foot and took one step forward but stopped there; her heavy heart were weighing down her feet. With a perturbed sigh, she thought, God dammit, do it now before it's too late. Without another moment's thought, she left the wall and walked into the room. So she wouldn't give herself the chance to retreat, she immediately said, "Hey, Tom." A few moments passed and, to stop such agonizingly awkwardness, she walked up to Tom and wrapped her arms around him. "I'm so sorry," she murmured into his shoulder. She lifted her head to place her chin upon his shoulder and said, "I was going way too fast, I know. I just... " Jasmine inhaled and continued with her voice cracking from emotion, "I've always thought about you, y'know? And wondered where you were and what happened to you. How could you possibly know how much?" She parted from him only to be able to look into his eyes and say, "I couldn't leave things like I did, especially since you're going to be leaving in just a few hours. I'm sorry for being so insensitive I'm just..." She released a sheepish laugh. "I'm not used to being rejected, especially when I really want something. I should've been more accepting to your own wants." Jasmine put her hand on his face and caressed his face, saying, "You better not die today. I will never forgive you." A tear escaped her left eye as she smiled at him.

(( (((( aww.) The seconds that rolled by made Tom even more nervous about what was to come. Just to make things worse, Jasmine's voice made his heart nearly stop. His palms got sweaty and his heart raced. Jaz must hate him. And now that he had to go he regretted not having sex with her despite his worries. He just wanted her to be happy if anything... he was just scared of himself. "..hey." he said softly, not really looking her in the eye. He felt his ears grow hot as the silence was prolonged. But then she hugged him, which surprised him. He blinked and looked down at her, unsure what to do so he listened. Though his eyes held confusion, they softened at her words. So after she poored her heart out and touched his cheek with her warm hand, he used his own to wipe the tear away and to cup her cheek. He caressed it just as gentle and gave her a soft smile. Maybe.... he really did have strong feelings for her. He always had some sort of drive, but now that he was about to possibly die, he saw how scared she was. "Jaz. Don't apologize. I'M sorry for neglecting you. And also for neglecting my own feelings.... Look. I can't promise I'll make it back in one piece or if I'll shoot to actually kill, but I'll definitely not hesitate to damage those 'wolves to at least get back to you." He leaned in and kissed the corner of her lips before pulling back. "Don't stress yourself, okay?" He contined to stroak her cheek, and used his other arm to wrap around her waist and pull her close.
