Although she still had much worry, Tom's words comforted Jasmine. She had faith in him and in everyone there to protect him and other comrades. She sighed and nodded at him, confident that he will be fine. When he kissed her, she noticed that it wasn't entirely on her lips, but she didn't really mind that. It was intimate in spite of that and she knew that he wasn't ready to fully commit yet. So she just wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her face in his shoulder, staying silent. "Wonderbar!" cried a voice in the doorway. Jasmine jumped at the exclamation and turned to see a clapping V. Sighing, she crossed her arms and yelled, "V! We were having a moment, dammit." The man guffawed and walked into the room, saying, "And that should deter my joy why? Besides..." V put his arm around Tom's neck and pulled him into his chest. "... this Wereling pup has to get ready for the show tonight." He grinned and scratched Tom's head as if he was a dog. "So, all is well?" "For the most part, yeah," said Jasmine with an amused smirk, "until you arrived." "Hey," said V with a pout, "mouth, young lady." V pushed Tom away and said to him, "We've got to get ready, pup. The troops will be leaving in a few minutes. I'm going to go announce it. All you need to do is exit the main entrance and enter one of the vehicles provided." V turned and left the room immediately after. Jasmine sighed and looked at Tom with a smile. "Good luck," she said. "Don't the the werewolves bite." She winked at him.

(Oh god please call him 'pup' again...... uhhhh... oh baby!!!!!!!!!! ~~boner!)
Tom embraced Jaz again, loving her smell and her soft skin. His inner wolf was nuts about her as well, but he wasn't going to let that ruin this moment. However his wolf ended up getting cheated because at that moment V walked in. Being that Tom's wolf instincts were already heightened, he had sensed the male when he had been walking down the hall. However Jasmine's jump made him chuckle. He didn't get to enjoy her body for long and instead he found himself pressed against a warm, rather good smelling, broad chest that could only be V. It just so happened part of V's braid was in his face and with a pfft! he moved the strands of hair off his nose. He glared up at the male and his lip raised in a snarl when the man petted him. About to protest, he was pushed away suddenly. He watched V go and rolled his eyes before returning his attention back to Jaz. He smirked then winked back. "You got it." He chuckled and walked around her, and gave her ass a playful swat like she had done way back when.
Soon enough, Tom was in one of the fancy cars, and getting nervous about returning to school... he would probably see many of his classmates and teachers slaughtered. But at least he could try to protect as many as he could.

((-_-')) The car that Tom was riding in was a extended Hummer with dark-tinted windows and four back seats carrying fourteen passengers, three for each seat. This car was the beginners' vehicle, meaning that everyone there had only been a part of Chironine for only a few years or less. They were all given handguns and holsters with five extra clips as they drove along. Ezra Montag was in the front passenger seat as another drove. "Okay," said Ezra as soon and everyone got their gun, "listen up, omegas. You guys have the most important duty to do tonight, so you better not fuck it up. If you guys don't do what your supposed to, that'll reflect badly upon me and my training of you guys. So, here's what's gonna go down: you are going to protect the poor, unfortunate souls that are at this basketball game from becoming a snack for the dogs. You are going to usher these people out of the gym, then out of the school. Get as many as you can in a group and get them to follow you as you are getting the hell out. Be sure that there are at least two per group of people; one leading the group and one behind them shooting at the mother fuckers trying to kill the people. "Here's a major note: Do not just shoot the dogs around you. Many of them are going to be part of our clan. You are to shoot the dogs that are either A. attacking a person or B. attacking you. However, your goal is to save the people, not to kill the dogs. Our other guys will handle that, so don't be a fucking hero. That's a surefire way to get yourself eaten alive. Don't do it. This is not about you, this is about protection. You have to protect the people, protect your comrades, and protect yourself. Nothing more, nothing less." After a few hours of driving and a few more lectures from Ezra, the Hummer finally parked beside a curb outside the school. "Let's kill these bitches dead!" shouted a grinning Ezra. The other guys shouted in agreement before jumping out of the car, trying to act like casual people attending a basketball game.
The past hour, he, Kate, and the girls have been singing to the radio, playing I-Spy, and chatting away. Kate enjoyed it, but her dread for what was to come hung over her head like a cloud. Not to mention what just happened between her and Alan. She felt bad for Alan for rejecting him but also quite guilty because she felt that she was betraying Tom and what she was doing for him. There was so much strain in her emotions that it was difficult to engage in what was happening around her. Alan sensed she was troubled, but thought it was only because she was leaving. He took her hand in his and smiled at her. She gave a wry smile in return and squeezed his hand before taking her hand away. She wouldn't let him become another Mark or Tom. It was best to leave before things got too complicated. As if they weren't already, thought Kate with a sigh. Several minutes after the Chironine cars got to the game, Alan's silver Camry pulled into the nearly full parking lot. Kate knew that something was going to happen today and wondered what Chironine was going to do about it. As she scanned the parking lot, she noticed nothing unusual. Maybe it was a false lead, she pondered. Maybe nothing's going to happen. That would be wonderful, but it would ruin her plan on contronting the people behind this charade. It was also a slim chance anyway. Unbuckling her seat belt, Kate looked over at Alan, Cora, and Megan. Alan was staring at the steering wheel with a solemn expression. Megan and Cora were sharing a coloring book. She smiled as tears formed in her eyes. It's for the best, she reassured herself. They will be better off without me. "Okay," she said with a cracking voice. Swallowing hard, she wiped her eyes and then sniffed. "I have to go. This was really great. I'm so happy I got to meet all of you." She settled her eyes on Alan, who was looking at her now with a vacant face. "I'm happy I met you, too, Chelsea," said Megan brightly. "You're a great friend." Kate raised herself from her seat and hugged Megan and Cora, kissing them both on the head. Rather sleepy, Cora rubbed her eyes and said, "Bye-bye, Chelsea." She looked at Alan again with glimmering green eyes. "Bye-bye, Chelsea," said Alan with a soft smile. He and Kate shared a long hug and he kissed her on the cheek. Kate got out of the car and held onto the door, looking back and saying, "Bye-bye." With a sigh, she shut the door. As she walked away, she put her hands over her face. Before she got too far, Alan grabbed her by the shoulder and turned her around. She looked at his pained face as he said, "You don't have to do this, Kate." She shut her eyes and began to weep, putting her hands over her face again. "You can come live with me," continued Alan with a hopeful tone. "You don't seem to have much to stay here for. You can leave it behind and start a new life. I know how. I can get you a job. We'll be set-" "Alan, stop!" cried out Kate. He stayed silent and stared at her. Looking up at him, she held his arms and said, "I can't. I can't drag you into my life. You don't know how bad it is. You don't know what will happen... and I can't let anything happen to you. I will ruin your life, I know it. I've done it to so many other people." She saw tears in Alan's hazel eyes. She took his hands and said, "I'm so grateful for everything you've done. Please, get out of here as fast as you can. Go home and live your life. Stop telling lies. Accept yourself and others will accept you. If you really want to make my life better, you can do that." Alan nodded, finally realizing that there's no hope in keeping her. With that, he held her in his arms once more. "Thank you for everything you've done for me," he murmured. Kate broke away and kissed him lightly. She backed away from him toward the school and muttered, "Please, get out alive."

Just what the shit was he thinking? With Ezra's words ringing in his ears, that pompous jerk, Tom had split up away from the group, but only because he was going to have a talk with his buddies on the basketball team. It was going to be a close call, but he planned on gathering them up hopefully or at least warn them and then get back with his own group. It was stupid yes, but he did have a second person to watch his back. His name was Peter and thank god that he had been part of Chironine for almost a year. A newbie, but still good backup. At first he had been totally against it, but as Tom had explained that this was his school and his old team, he was thinking that they could get by. Another idea he had was to set off the fire alarm.... however he knew if he did that, one: the other groups may not be ready, two: people may get out but everything would lock down, and three: it would alert the wolves of the ambush. So just working on the team was an idea. If he could get them to maybe prolong the start of the game, maybe it'd give people a better chance to get ready. So he left the big showdown to the others and reached the locker rooms just as the captain of the team was heading out. "Rick! Hey!" He called and jogged towards him. Tom kept his gun tucked at the curve of his back and hid it under his coat. Peter did the same, though he was on high alert. Rick beamed. "Tom! Yo! Dude the game starts in five minutes, why aren't you in uniform? Where ya been?" He clapped Tom on the shoulder with his hand, the large african american player nearly tilting Tom off balance. "Look, Rick.. I'm not playing today. Something came up. Uh..." suddenly Tom was at a blank. Shit he forgot what he should say. Fear suddenly took hold of him in an instant; he smelled a wolf. And it was very, very close. Shit? Already? Dammit we just got in the building! He took a step back to examine the area more. Showers were clear, stalls possibly; he saw no feet, lockers there was no way... so where? Thump… all Tom heard was his own frantic heartbeat suddenly. He listened with heightened ears the sounds of Peter's and Rick's. All three of them had the same pace. All fast, all strong. Rick was probably excited about the game. However..... Tom's brown eyes darted up to Rick's, just in time to see a glimmer of yellow. Well, fuck.

At the top of the bleachers, V was sitting against the wall, munching on some Combos snacks while sipping on a bottle of Dr. Pepper. In his right ear, he had a audio transmitter that connected him to some of the leaders of the groups. In the other ear was an earphone that played the song Time is Running Out by Muse on low volume. He was dressed in a purple button-up with black slacks and a purple and black cap where his braid was tucked under. The team's colors were black and purple, of course. He was going for more casual attire, but he was not going deny himself a good look. After taking a swig of his Dr. Pepper, he looked down on it and muttered to himself, "Dr. Pepper. Dr. V." He smiled. "Ja, that sounds good. Sehr gut." He was acting very calm, but he felt the presence of werewolves all around him. He could tell they were excited and impatient for either the basketball game or the very possible massacre. It was a shame he couldn't tell which was which, but it wouldn't make much of a difference. No matter what, people were going to die. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a pair of sunglasses drop from the purse of a lady sitting a over few seats down. He lowered himself to the seat she was on and picked them up. Handing them to her, he said, "Excuse me, Miss, you dropped these." Looking up at him, the woman's eyes brightened and she said with a smile, "Oh, well, thank you!" He tilted his head and replied coolly, "You're very welcome." She giggled a bit and slid her auburn hair behind her ear. So ruhig, thought V with a smile. Ich bin zu sexy. Es ist ein Verbrechen. "Are any of the boys in the team yours?" asked V. She nodded and said, "Yes. He's number 13, Rick." "I suppose that means that you're married?" "I just recently divorced," she said with a wry smile. V gave a solemn face and said, "That's a shame. I'm sorry." Just as he said that, Ezra tuned into the transmitter in his ear and said, "I can't find Tom. The pup scampered off as soon as we entered the building." "No," said the woman, "that's fine. I've dealt with it now... but Rick has had a hard time with it." "Well, I'm sure he'll come around," said V to both the woman and Ezra.

Tom backed up, his nervousness now hitting panic mode. He shouldn't have fucking come here. He should've thought about students maybe being wolves. But even so... that thought made his heart ache. He had grown up around these people, and now they were sinking into the darkness he had fallen into not a year ago. Peter jolted him out of his thoughts when he set a hand on the Wereling's shoulder. Tom looked behind him to see Peter just smiling. "We gotta go. The game's gunna start bro." He seemed chipper. Tom got the idea, he was covering any suspicion Rick probably had now. Tom lept out if his daze and turned to Rick and grinned. "Well, had ta say good luck! I'll be rooting for you guys!" He backed out the door, and Rick nodded and gave him a thumbs up. The doors closed and both Peter and Tom bolted down the hall, just in time to see Ezra disappear into the auditorium. Keeping speed, Tom folloeed him in with a large crowd. He had to warn Ezra of the wolves within the team. Finally he reached his side but he kept a low profile and whispered, "They're dogs within the Ravens." He hissed the last part, meaning the team, called the Ravens. Just then, a loud voice came over the speakers. "Welcome to the James Hill High basketball game! Tonight it's the Ravens vs the Hornets!" Applause followed and cheering before the announcer continued. As he talked, Tom found a seat closest to the doors. Some suspicious looking men were almost guarding them. They obviously were trouble. Glaring Tom was about to point this out to Erza when he noticed a woman in a long purple dress make her way to the center of the gym. His eyes popped. She looked near exactly like Kate. He nearly stood up in shock. However this woman had the long black hair Kate used to have, and she looked rich. Her skin was so pale she almost glowed. But her eyes... At that moment, those eyes looked straight at him. He froze, his heart stopped in his chest, his soul seemed to freeze. She had the eyes of someone he had feared and who haunted his dreams. She had the eyes of Marcie Folan.

Ezra sat at the bottom of the bleachers near the exit. He spent his idle time scanning the area for 'wolves and planning escape routes. When Tom sat near him, he murmured into the speaker hidden in his collar, "The pup is in the yard." He frowned at the piece of information Tom gave him. Great, he thought sarcastically. Now we have to kill teenage boys. "Our pup was sniffing around," whispered Ezra in his collar. "He says that our team has some hairy backs." "Good God," said one of the other members in the transmitter. "We'll do what we must," said V in a calm voice. Ezra looked over as Tom pointed out the men at the doors to him. He patted his concealed holster and gave him a wink. The lights in the stadium dimmmed and a beautiful woman walked out onto the court. Wow, thought Ezra as he admired the woman, I hope I won't have to kill her. V stared at the woman with wonder. She certainly was a beauty, but something was off about her. He wasn't sure whether she was a beast or not. Not only did she look so perfect, her presence sent chills down V's spine. She was definitely more than a person. Kate gawked at this woman with her mouth agape. This woman was a near spitting of herself, but with her original black hair. Another difference was that she seemed to be more radiant and more graceful and much more mature than Kate. It was strange that she got all this from just looking at this woman walk, but that is the vibe she got from her. If it weren't for her appearance, she would think them as two very different beings. At first, she thought that this woman was only a hallucination. Perhaps the terrible strain on her brain created this mental picture of her former self coming to haunt her. However, that idea wasn't possible since every other person in the gym was gawking at this woman. Who are you? thought Kate as if she was sending a telepathic message. Her chest tightened as her throat began to ache. Why do you have my face?

Tom suddenly felt sick. He clutched his chest with ridged fingers, gritting his teeth. "Ezra... she's bad news. I can feel it..." he hissed. Now that he thought about it, Tom really should have spoken to V and told him everything about Marcie, Takapa, and everything that went down last year. Did this woman have something to do with the past? He prayed no. Once the gaze was broken, Tom felt something in him collapse. Like some sort of pressure had been released. Had he been under a trance? What was this Dracula? "Shit. She's a vampire. But a bit different." Again he whispered. Just having her lock eyes with him told him 'dangerous monster'. "And now, please give a round of applause to our honored guest from Romania: Miss Isabeth le Milia. She is here for business with close family ties. She will be singing the National Anthem, so please everyone stand up in respect." That announcement in itself was overly suspicious. Romania, huh? And just what was she doing here. Nevertheless Tom stood, glaring daggers at the woman before he noticed V way up in the bleachers opposite the gym. He looked at him for a split second to memorize his whereabouts before everything seemed to go dead silent. The woman was before the microphone and had her haunting eyes closed. She opened her pretty little mouth then, and as soon as she let loose the first word, Tom's ears rang. He could've doubled over in pain. The woman's voice was so beautiful and angelic to all, but to any wolf... this was like a dog whistle to theur ears. And just like that, any wolf in the audience was cringing and making themselves known. How was this woman doing this? What power could she hold in just her voice? As she sang, the humans throughly enjoyed it. They seemed plastered to their spots. Tom hissed to Ezra, "Fuck. She's putting them in a trance!" Even Peter was whining a bit as the voice rang on like an opera performance.

At the introduction of the woman in purple, the crowd put their hand over their heart. Kate was blown away at the strong and beautiful voice that woman had, but couldn't get passed her suspiscion of this woman. When she looked at the reactions of the audience, she noticed that some of them were twitching and wincing as if they were in pain. Something's wrong, thought Kate as she looked between the audience and Isabeth. What's the song doing to them? Her question was answered when she saw a man go into what looked like a spasm, but she knew it wasn't. She gasped as she saw his body contort and extend as fur sprouted from his skin. The song is a signal! Once that man turned, she saw many others follow suit and began attacking people at once. She jumped off the bleachers as she saw several people close to her turn. The horrified people tripped over themselves and others as they fled the bleachers. Their screams and shouts was like a choir for the singing woman, who was just now ending the song. Hiding underneath the bleachers, she looked through the seats at the woman and thought, She has something to do with this. However, there was no way to get to her without being slaughtered by one of the 'wolves first. She screamed and recoiled as one of the 'wolves shoved its head into the bleacher. Roaring, it snapped it jaws at her and tried to reach her. It wasn't long before a bullet ran through the back of its head, shooting blood out of its forehead. The red splattered over Kate's shirt (as she covered her face) and she grimaced. "Disgusting," she muttered as she wiped the blood off her arms on the wall.
Once the woman called Isabeth began to sing, V shut his eyes and shuddered, feeling something stirring inside him. Her singing was wonderfully operatic, but it made him uncomfortable. His skin tingled all over and he felt his bones ache. Trembling, he held his throat with both hands and began to breath heavily. What's happening? I feel like I'm about to turn. The sensation thrilled him and he smiled, humming to Isabeth's beautiful singing. Every word she sang seemed to inject adrenaline into V's bloodstream. Even with his eyes were closed, he felt like he could see everything with his other senses. He heard every little movement, every shuffle of the feet, every small whisper, and even every inhale or exhale. The silent crowd seemed like a pandemonium to him. The many little noises filled V's ears, drowning out the national anthem. He thought he could hear the heartbeat of the woman beside him, whose name he found out was Sandra. He felt the heat radiate from her. He could smell her sweet skin and felt like he was tasting it. Then came the bitter taste of iron. A piercing scream tore V away from his reverie of senses and he opened his eyes to find that he actually was tasting Sandra's skin. He had his mouth clasped over the nape of her neck and was tearing her skin with his teeth. She screamed when he tore her skin and made her bleed. He tore away from her and stood up, looking down at her shaking body. She was sprawled on the bleacher with her whole shoulder a gory mess. "I'm so sorry!" cried V, putting his hand over his bloody mouth. "I swear I didn't-" His sentence trailed off when he heard thunderous roars echo from all around. He looked down to see dozens of 'wolves running rampant around the gymnasium, attacking people and other 'wolves. The court was filled with shrieking people scrambled around to avoid the monsters and get out of the room. V took an M16 semi-automatic assault rifle out of his gym bag and pulled off his baseball cap, letting his braid fall down. Sandra stared at him with horror and he said to her, "Get out of here while you can. I apologize for the tier in mir." V descended the bleachers with his M16 pointed at the ground. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a 'wolf in pursuit of fleeing people. He positioned his M16 with his eye and fired two shots at the 'wolf, bringing it down immediately. As V was focusing on killing the opponents, Ezra was getting people out of the gym, rather aggressively. It had to be done in haste for the sake of the people's lives. Although it was a dangerous task, it was made a lot easier due to the Chironine 'wolves occupying the enemy 'wolves. Just as planned, he had every group of people be accompanied by a few members. Once most every person was out of the gymnasium, Ezra gathered the last group. "Tom!" he shouted as he exited the gym. "Follow us but stay behind. Watch for dogs!" Although most of the 'wolves were in the gym, he saw that there were several throughout the entire school to prey on any that try to escape. As Ezra shot at the lurking 'wolves, the audio transmitter delivered a grim message. "The main entrances are locked from the inside. We can't get out."

Well shit. Now everything was chaos. Everyone was stricken with panic and running everywhere. To Tom's horror now the wolves were shifting. Not that he hadn't seen shifts before, but he hadn't seen this many wolves since the showdown with Stubbe and Takapa. He got out his gun immediately as soon as Ezra barked orders. He nodded and shouted, "Right," and ran after the group. However he remembered V and looked over and up the bleachers. His heart nearly skipped a beat. V had attacked a human. But Tom had no time to go to him; he was searching the rush for that damned woman. It seemed she had just disappeared. Swearing under his breath, Tom started to follow Ezra out when the doors closed with a slam in front of him. Rick, looking like he was both high and part of a gorey horror movie stood in front of the exit. He cracked his neck and growled, looking crazed. "Hey Tom. I guess the game's cancelled..." he started to approach the other teen, and said teen backed right up. Soon Tom's back hit the wall, and he raised the gun. There was no way he could possibly kill his old team mate. So he aimed for his leg, and fired. Rick roared with pain and fury, eyes turning yellow and he started to sprout fur and his bones cracked. "That wasn't very nice, Tom." The half deformed beast growled. In the mad and desperate situation, Tom looked this way and that, and a flash if red made him half a genius idea. He grinned and smashed his hand down the fire alarm. In an instant, the alarm rang so loud that Rick howled in pain and backed up, holding his pointy ears. The rest of the wolves in the gym did the same, and that gave Tom a chance to run for the doors. He spotted a few cowering humans, a mother and daughter, and he grabbed them. "Let's go!" He was forceful yet aggressive and pushed them out the doors and they all darted down the hall just as three wolves followed in pursuit.

"Alan..." whined Megan from the backseat. "Why aren't we going yet? Me and Cora are really tired." Twenty minutes ago, Alan had pulled out of the school's parking lot and then turned around and parked alongside a curb right behind an extended Hummer. Since then, he has been staring at the school, biting his thumb nail and thinking about Kate. He wondered what was happening in her life. He questioned why she thought she would ruin his life if she stayed. Another nagging question is why she would have him drop her off at a school when it was evening. "Please, get out alive." That was the last thing she said to him before she went into that school. The phrase kept repeating itself in his head. What did she mean by that? he kept asking himself. What she said seemed to imply that something that could endanger his life was going to happen. If it would threaten his life, then it surely would threaten hers as well. With that in mind, Alan couldn't bring himself to leave. "Just a bit longer," murmured Alan with a sigh. When he thought logically about it, he knew it was pointless to do this. Even if he did find out what was happening, he wouldn't be able to save her... nor keep her. Kate wanted him away. A dreadful explanation for that Alan considered was because she couldn't accept how unstable he was. He pushed that conclusion away, thinking it impossible. She was just too understanding and compassionate for that to be the reason. The only last possibility was that she really did have a screwed up life that she didn't want him to be a part of. That didn't stop him from wanting to be a part of it, but he knew that he was completely unaware of the extent of her problems; unlike she was with him. That got him thinking about his problems. "Stop telling lies. Accept yourself and others will accept you." After pondering about it for a minute, Alan made a promise to Kate and to himself that he would reveal himself to his friends once he got back home. Kate instilled the belief that if his friends were true, they would accept him. He doubted he had many true friends, but he wouldn't allow that to hold him back. He had to be free from his web of lies. "Please, Uncle Alan," groaned Cora as she lied in Megan's lap. He smiled as he looked at his girls through his rear view mirror. "Sure," said Alan, starting up the car again. "Yaay..." they both yawned. He chuckled and started to pull out when he heard the scream of whistles. He looked over at the school as the whistles shrilled repeatedly. "What's that?" asked Cora as she gazed at the school. "Fire alarm," muttered Alan. Dread filled his heart and made it ache. Did Kate know that a fire would start? he thought in confusion and worry. Could she have started it? He knew he couldn't leave now. Straightening out his car into place, he said to the girls, "I'm gonna go see what's going on real quick. Stay in here." "But there's a fire in there!" protested Megan. He pulled out the drawer underneath his seat and looked at the revolver in it. It was the gun his mother carried around in her purse as she walked the night's streets. Also the one that he has pointed to his head countless times. He brought it just in case he'd have to deal with any of Kate's problems. "And Kate's in there, too," said Alan as he turned the ignition off. "I have to see what's happening and help her." Megan pouted and Cora said, "Be careful!" Getting out of the car, he looked back at them with a smile. "I'll be fine!" he said. "Don't let anyone in except for me." After shutting the door, he locked the car doors with a press of his car remote and ran over to the school. He heard sirens blaring within the school as he got closer and saw people running out of the school's entrance. Tucking his revolver in the back of his jeans, he avoided the fleeing people and approached the doors. When he went through them, he heard several gunshots and stopped in place and pressed himself against a wall. I don't think bullets would stop a fire, thought Alan, knowing that the danger must be something else. Perhaps even somebodies. Alan pulled out his revolver and held it beside his face as he slowly progressed forward, scanning his eyes around the dimly lit school. He heard the echo of gunshots constantly, but they were distant so he kept moving. He swore he could hear screams as well. A crash of shattered glass sounded and Alan turned around to see an large figure falling from a second floor window. He winced as it hit the floor heavily and stared at it in horror and awe. What the hell is that? he asked himself as he slowly approached it with his gun raised. At the distance, it looked like a bear but as he got closer, he realized it was a huge wolf. "Oh my God," he breathed. What the hell would wolves be doing in a goddamn school?

After shooting two out of the three wolves, Tom managed to get the mother and daughter out of the building. He had to find a hiding place for them, and the rest he'd save. Remembering the baseball field, he hurried both them and a few other panicked humans into the garage. He told them to stay here until a man named Ezra or V, or Tom himself would pick them up. He said he'd bring more, but for now, they couldn't move. He shut the garage door tightly and then darted back into the school. Immediately the third wolf that had been following him before lept out from a corner. Tom immediately raised his gun, heart going wild. He ended up curling his lip and let out the most hideous and horrific snarl even he was surprised he made. The wolf however, snarled right back, though a little uneasy. It was then Tom recognized the scent of the other; it was Rick. In fear for the other, again Tom snarled, "Get back Rick! It's not worth it!" He was practically trembling now. He did not want to kill a person he knew; specifically a teen like himself. But Rick was a recent turn; so this beast was wild and crazy. The thing went back on its haunches, ready to pounce. Tom shut his eyes tight, grinding his teeth, and fired. A loud whine erupted from the thing and Tom opened his eyes. Peter had shot Rick from behind, and the beast now lay dead on the floor. A lump formed in Tom's throat and Peter smiled sympathetically. "It's okay. Some people just can't kill. At least... not right away." He said grimly. Tom just nodded and then lead them both deeper into the hallways, gathering people that weren't slaughtered and decorating the floors with red gore. It looked like something out of a hospital horror slaughter house.

Where did she go? Kate asked herself as she walked out from behind the bleachers. Only minutes after the uproar, most of the wolves had gone out of the gym and the several armed people left were exiting in a rush. Just a moment before, she had seen the woman in purple, but she was gone once Kate stepped out in the open. "Dammit," she muttered with a sigh. This isn't going as planned. I need to find her. She walked out of the gym, trying to be cautious and quick at the same time. She walked at a fast pace while her eyes scanned in front of and behind her. While she detected no danger with her sight, she heard roars, gunshots, and screams echo throughout the school. She was grateful that she didn't have to see what was causing those sounds. "Kate!" shouted a voice from behind. Kate froze for a moment before turning around and seeing Alan twenty feet away. His face showed fear and confusion with wide eyes and a slightly open mouth. She took a moment to wonder what he had seen. "Thank God. Are you okay?" He began walking toward her and she took a step back. He paused and furrowed his brow. "Alan, what are you doing here?" murmured Kate with a pained voice. She clenched her teeth and shouted, "Why the hell didn't you leave?" Alan blinked, taken aback, then said, "I... I was worried. I thought something might happen. And something did! Kate, we have to get out of here. There are these... huge wolf things-" "I know!" cried Kate. Her voice started to crack as she said, "That is why I wanted to save you." She spread out her hands and laughed. "Welcome to my life!" With a solemn expression, Alan uttered, "Kate." As she backed up, Kate said, "Please, leave before it's too late." She turned around and ran in the other direction. Alan took a step forward and hesitated, considering what Kate said. He did want to leave, but he wouldn't be able live with himself if he didn't leave with her. "Kate!" he shouted as he took after her.
As she kept running, she cursed when she heard Alan call her name again. Dammit, she thought as tears flew out of her eyes. Dragged another to hell. She just as she was about to round another corner, a man stepped out of it and grasped her arm before she got passed him. She let out a yelp and he pulled her back in front of him. "What are you doing running blindly in here?" he asked with a laugh. She looked up at him and felt a chill when her eyes settled on his pale blue, cataract eyes. He began walking around the corner, pulling her along. "You do know that there are 'wolves running rampant, don't you?" "Of course," muttered Kate as she writhed against him. His grip was tight, though. "Let me go. I'm just leaving." V smiled and said, "That's good, but we wouldn't want you to run into the 'wolves on your way out." After he said that, he halted himself and turned to her with a curious stare. Grabbing her chin, he put his nose above her ear and inhaled. She froze stiff when he did this. He pulled back and stared at her. "You're a she-wolf," he murmured with a glimmer of yellow in his eyes. Oh God, she thought as a wave of fear swept over her. Kate let out a cry of frustration and struggled viciously with him, but he wasn't fazed. "Let me go!" she cried, thrusting her arms and body away from V. He pushed her into the wall and held her hands above her. With his face extremely close to hers, he said calmly but firmly, "Settle down. Just a moment. I'm going to get someone" While still holding her still, he straightened himself and saw Tom scuttling through the hallways with other members. "Thomas!" he shouted. "Come escort this lady out." Kate turned to the person he summoned and gasped as her eyes settled on image of Tom Anderson. He looked like the same teenage boy she saw a week earlier, but someone seemed older. The week seemed not so short anymore. It felt like ages since she had seen him last. This time he had a gun in his hands and blood in his footsteps. "Tom," she choked out with glimmering green eyes. V turned back to her with creased brows. "Do you know-" asked V, but he paused at the sound of a gunshot. His arms began to tremble and he dropped them, releasing Kate's hands. He looked down at a black spot just below his chest. When he touched it, the black turned to red on his fingers. He exhaled out a shuddered breath and blood escaped his lips, pouring over his chin. Kate gaped at the bleeding wound in shock. After a moment, they both turned to look behind him. "Oh my God," she breathed as she saw the man with the smoking gun. "Alan." Thirty feet away, Alan was beside a corner out of breath and trembling with the raised revolver in his hands. V shook his head at him before collapsing onto the ground. Kate stepped away and looked back at Tom. I'm sorry, she said to him in her mind. She turned to Alan and began running toward him, passing Tom by only a few feet. Once she approached Alan, she took his hand in hers and ran out of the school without looking back. "V!" cried Ezra, rushing to the man's side. He turned V onto his back and saw the pool of blood beside him. Groaning, V put his blood-soaked hand back to his wound and heaved his chest in and out. "That bastard," he breathed with a chuckle, "just fucking shot me." He turned his head to the side and spat out a mouthful of blood. He looked at Ezra and smiled. "Could you go kill him for me?" "It would be my pleasure," said Ezra with a wicked grin. He stood up and raced out of the school in hot pursuit.

This was getting difficult. So far he had gotten a lot of people herded into the sports garage, but he was running out of room. Just as he rounded another corner of the school's hallways, he heard his name, his FULL name, being called. He screeched to a halt and looked down another hall at none other than V. And then he saw her. "...K-Kate?" He whispered, in shock as the room seemed to shrink and focus just on the girl who had ripped his heart out not a short week ago. She was alive. Shaken and looking a little more pale than normal but alive. His gun lowered and he stepped towards her, body still numb. However he didn't get a chance to experience her being there when he froze again, a loud bang echoing in his ears and down the near empty halls. From Kate's red hair, Tom's gave went to the red-black shot wound that was on V's chest. Again the hall seemed to shrink but Tom paled. "V.. V!!!" Tom's cry sounded just before Ezra came in. He was frozen to the spot, too shocked to move. His ears rang in fury and his vision blurred as he looked around, looking for the culprit. He saw a man with a shotgun in hand, and apparently Kate knew him. She went right to him. As she passed a dumbfounded Tom, the boy felt his world drop away. He could smell her, he could've touched her she was so close. But he was frozen. She... was betraying him? He slowly looked over his shoulder at her, eyes looking lost as she gave her apologetic gaze to him. "Don't ...go..." he muttered, but it fell on deaf ears. He watched her leave with that bastard stranger. Who was he....? But the sudden remembrance of V snapped Tom back into reality. Just as Ezra took off after Kate, Tom yelled, "Don't hurt her!" But he went to V's side. "Fuck. Fuck! V! Shit!" He pressed a hand over the fatal wound and used his other hand to craddle the back of V's neck. "Fuck! V! What do I do?! I.. dammit! I'll ... I'll go to the nurse! They have to have something!" He was hysterical and half dragged half carried V over to the lockers to rest him on them. "I'll be right back! Just in case you need it..." he gave his gun to V despite the other may already having a weapon. He crouched a bit longer, his worried look growing bitter with what seemed to be full of despair.

The stinging in V's stomach was dull, like that of a burn before it begins to hurt. The pain wasn't his chief complaint, but rather his nausea and feverish sweating. He felt like he was going to vomit, but never had the gag reflex to carry it out; but it wouldn't make him feel any better like it would with an upset stomach. No, he was shot. The only thing that would help him is to stop the bleeding. However, the stomach was a terrible place to be shot. Tourniquets help little since the rest of the body got in the way of a tight dressing; there will be massive internal bleeding; and death would be slow since bleeding out would be the only way one would die. Feeling a hand at the back of his neck, V opened his cataract eyes and looked up at the concerned face of Tom. He smiled a little, pleased to see that he was so worried. He inhaled and murmured, "Oh, Thomas, I doubt there's a nurse... at basketball games." He looked back down at his bloodied shirt and said, "A hole and a giant stain. I'm afraid... I'll have to buy another one." A cold bead of sweat at his brow crawled over his cheek and down to his neck. V grimaced from the sharp pain caused by the constriction to his stomach as Tom dragged him through the hall. "Please, stop," he breathed with his eyes half-closed. When Tom laid him down, he sighed and looked up at him again with a solemn face. No other options, he told himself as he gazed into the pair of suffering brown eyes. He knew Tom was hurting because of that girl; there was no way Tom could be this upset about him. That girl ran off with the man who shot him: an evident sign of betrayal. And he stuck by me instead of going after her, he thought with a satisfied smile. What a good boy. When Tom handed him his gun, V clutched Tom's arm and stared at him, murmuring, "Thomas... please, don't go." With his other hand, V grabbed Tom's collar and pulled him in close. Releasing Tom's arm, he moved that hand to Tom's back and his other to his neck. With his eyes closed, he nuzzled his forehead against Tom's brow and inhaled the sweet yet musty natural smell of his skin. V's breathing trembled as he felt a rush of lust sweep over his body. Not the point, he reminded himself. Still, V let his lips crawl over Tom's cheek and stopped when it came to Tom's lips. He didn't meet them with his own, but breathed in the warm breaths Tom exhaled. Opening his eyes, V smiled sinisterly and bore into Tom's eyes before he clamped his teeth down on the nape of his neck. V's teeth broke Tom's skin easily and his taste buds squirmed when blood trickled onto his tongue. Gripping Tom's back with both his hands, V sucked on his inflicted wound on Tom with fervor. Any sort of pain he had before was surpassed by his lust; it took almost all his effort not to rip the clothes off of the boy. When the tingling of his skin began, V released Tom and shoved him away abruptly and furiously. Turning over onto his hands and knees, V shook his head as he started salivating out of his bloodied mouth. He looked up at Tom with blaring yellow eyes and grinned from exhilaration, gasping, "Watch... closely." V's smile disappeared when he felt the first crack of his spine. His face contorted into a grimace with his bones shifting in audible snaps. He cried out when his leg bones began to break and adjust; it had been a long time since he last changed. His fingers dug into the rock floor as the nails lengthened and darkened into claws. The buttons of his shirt snapped off as his clothes began to stretch against his growing stature. As soon as his mouth began to jut out, V clenched his jaw and growled, "Stoooop." His body didn't listen to him, for he felt his tailbone begin to protrude. He slammed his fist against the floor and cried, "No! Stop now!" He trembled violently as his will battled with his body. After several tense seconds, the body gave up. V's bones twisted back into shape as other wolf features receded as well. Once he was back into his regular shape, he collapsed to the ground, breathing heavily. After composing himself, V sat up and brushed his hair back from his face with a sigh. He looked at Tom with an exasperated expression and said, "Sorry about biting you, Thomas I had to stimulate myself into changing." Lifting his button-up (with no more buttons), he showed his gunshot wound, which was covered by a thin layer of pink skin as if it had had weeks to heal. V looked up at Tom and grinned. "That's what you get with years of practicing willpower." He always loved showing this technique off.
